I shot a 66 yesterday!

Even here in WI I've been out 2 times so far, Sunday will be the third. Shot OK first round... second, no carts available and had to walk a brutal hilly course. I know I'm out of shape, but I felt like I was going to die by the end lol. Shot terrible because I was too tired.

The weather here has been so crappy that I haven't even made it to the range, but it was finally gorgeous out all day yesterday.  Made a Tee time for 5:07 and of course by about 4:30 the the clouds roll in and it gets pretty windy.  Played a course that I play a lot, but played the back 9 for only the second time.  My chipping killed me once again, need to really spend some time on it.  The upshot was that it was probably my best round ever for putting, I think I three putted one hole, and the others were two or one.  Managed two pars on a 3 and 5 and ended up taking a 51.  Goal for next round is 46.

Good lord!! This thread cursed me I know it. I shot a 66 too for 9 holes!!! Worst round I ever had since starting the game at 14. Oh that included mulligans, a priest's forgiveness, and many assumptions.

As far as I know Golf is the only game where you get a gimme!

18 holes in a course. That must be why they now make 18 cans packs of booze.

My brother, a golf nut, called me a few years back to tell me he shot a 67 on some course he plays. Not knowing anything about golf i asked is that good? GOOD he screams on the phone, most guys would give their left nut to shoot a 67!!

I love golf.  The closest I've come to shooting a 66 is 69....and that's on 18    I played on the high school team and hopefully next year I'll be playing for our college team (I didn't want to play my freshman year)

My philosophy is the worse you are at golf, the more fun you have.  It doesn't bother you as much when you hit a bad shot!
