since we've got the rudder back to control GVs, you may want to move the GV speed controls off the keyboard and onto the throttle too.
This is easily done if you use the SST software and set up some bands on the throttle, in the same way as people have set it up for WEP and Engine Start/Stop for aircraft:
LHS side is for aircraft - the bottom indent on the throttle is the
Engine Off position, the top indent engages
WEP, and the bit in between is for normal throttle usage. The only thing you have to do is calibrate the throttle axis in AH to
only use the throttle travel between the indents (Mace did a detailed post explaining this).
RHS is for GVs - the middle band is
Steady Speed (effectively a big deadband), move it forward and you go
Faster, forward all the way to the top indent and you will stay at
Full Speed. move it back and you go
Slower, all the way back to the bottom indent is the
Engine Off position. no calibration required here because they are all button presses.

8 to Mode 1 (Aircraft and Default) and
