Placards are not near as bas as now. Just go look at a ladder.

Now placards are to thwart suits from stupid people. Everyone remembers the "hot coffee" suit. lol

not to get off topic.  but mcdonalds did sell boiling hot coffee, not just plain hot coffee.  and it did make them change the temp of their coffee.

some of the signs say "alt f4 for nukes" and something like "whine meter". 
Like the one hidden under the instrument panel of the 163 that says "Unlawful for occupation by more than 37 people"?   :D
