UPDATE

So there's two left that might happen.  Regardless of what happens the next round will be finalized tomorrow night.  In the meantime here's the next round match-ups based on the duels that did happen.  Once again this doesn't change the normal Sunday deadline for these duels:

Rud3boi
P-39Q
Krupnski

BaldEagl

Yarbles v TC

F4U1-A Yarbles

F4U-1  TC

Spit-5 TC

 :salute

<S> Yarbles, you took me by complete surprise even though I did bother to check your stats for the last 3 months right before I logged into the DA this afternoon/evening

you owned me in the 1st round and actually had me in the 2nd round until I took us to the deck and got us as slow as possibly imaginable, I had to extend from Yarbles 3 ( maybe even 4? ) times and resetting the fight because he was beating me on the angles....I think it was the extending and reversing that helped me find a way to break even with Yarbles in rd # 2....... You really impressed me, seriously  :aok  I know
I did not even come close to showing you anything "impressable" by my flying........... I will not be taking you for granted anymore from here on out! Some very good maneuvering you put out today  :salute

Wow Yarbles, quite an accomplishment to get TC in a 1a round :aok

BigRat

I am flattered kind of, Bigrat... but seriously Yarbles was actualy better than I was at the time of our match today...... I am just an old chunk of coal right now  :old:  ;)

1 full week of teaching went into that plane :pray :)

Yep, his stats showed it, where he had put most of his time in , in the F4U-1A....... and for the record.... I "Hate" the F4U-1A.......   I'd rather fly an F4U-1D if I am not able to fly the F4U-1  :D

--------------------------------------------------

I think I need to get back some of whatever it is I seem to be missing at this moment in time.....

I feel like I have turned to a complete pile of rust

I need to start flying/practicing more and start putting in at least 8 hours a week minimal, seriously!  if I am going to compete in these tournaments/brackets

 :salute  Yarbles

suns vs batfink

P47D40 - Bat
C202 - Suns
K$ - Suns

Awesome fight man, that c202 round was amazing good fun. I was outflown and the better pilot won without a doubt.
Heart pounding adrenalin pumping awesome fun. Thanks for the fights man.
I wish you good fortune continuing the ladder, although I think your skill will be enough not to need luck.

S!
Great fights. The C202 round was intense.

Looks fun. I returned to the game too late to participate (and I can't hit anything yet :) ). Next time though.

UPDATE

As promised here's the last two matches that need to be completed by noon Sunday.

At this point I have to accept MickyD's forfeit so wrongway advances and the next match is:

IrishOne
P-38L
wrongway

Not only has Bruv posted here but meatgazr evidently missed a pre-arranged match then dropped out of sight so the match goes to Bruv by forfeit.  The next match is:

Bruv119
P-51D
Boo

So with that the final fights for the quarterfinals are set.

Bruv, how about Sunday 10pm Central? That should be 4am in England, which would have you nice and groggy.

I'll send you a PM.
