Perhaps a dog-tag system like in Bad Company 2.  If you kill someone, you get their dog-tags (or wings, but the specific item is irrelevant), which you would keep in the O'Club.  You would not get multiple dog tags for killing someone multiple times, just one dog-tag per person.  If you clicked on the dog-tag, it would bring up a little card with infomation about the date, time, location, arena, respective planes, weapons used, and the damage dealt to you and the other player.  An algorithm would calculate this, and create a score; the color of the dogtag would vary based on this score (i.e. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum), and one could see it if one were to click on the dogtag.

Just where would you get the dogtag from?  :headscratch:

I say keep the minimum at 2 to get your name in lights. but add a new feature.  make the individual land at a friendly airfield and after they click :end sortie:  Give  them the choice to actually log the kills like the box that pops up before a mission.  If it doesnt match to what they actually did. the kills do not count.  This way those who worry about their kills/score can log them and have those go towards their overall rank. for those who dont will not have an overall score until they log their kills.

or possibly, if you record a sortie and it asks if you wish to save it, if you choose to save it it will pop up a writing box, asking you if you want to write a personal combat report about the situation you just recorded? then that personal msg will be attached to that film to read whenever you view the film.

+1 for the original idea. :aok
Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.
