No Compass in P38

I normally fly a P38L.  My compass is gone.  I checked some other planes, and the compass shows up.  In my P38, the instrument is there, but there is nothing to indicate my heading.

With my lousy sense of direction, I need all the help I can get.

Yep, that's it.  Someone got into my cockpit and took a picture.
