sheesh, amazing how all these "pros" get there panties wadded by F3 mode

No, we are just having fun watching someone trying to cover up a minor fib with increasingly absurd stories. We could not care less about the F3 thing itself.  :neener:

Maybe someone hacked into his bbs account and told those lies.

I haven't watched the film, and I don't intend to.

I think you all are being rather horrible. You, the vets. The long-timers. You're being absolutely terrible and a bad representation of how the newer generation should act.

I know for a fact what he's talking about with recording in F3. It's easy. Bring up the film viewer, check "use recorded views" and then hit the F3 radio button.

When you looked "right" from inside the cockpit, it will simple look right from F3. It looks the same directions you did.

If it records you moving to F3 or F1 you will still do that, but you can over-ride the view mode from the film viewer until the next "F1" or "F3" event is recorded inside the film file.

I know you like to pick on folks sometimes, and I know sometimes they really beg for it, but c'mon folks. This is getting nasty. You're accusing him of lying about something that's been part of the game since forever. About the rest? I can't comment. But I think you all ought to step back a little.

Disclaimer: No I have no love for Tyrannis. I think he's wrong much of the time also. I just am taken aback by the reactions here.

Except that when you have the cockpit view on and using recorded views, it flashes from cockpit to f3 mode everytime he needs to "see something" and also flashes to f3 mode to attempt to hit high deflection shots.  Long story short he was in f3 mode for half the film.  You should watch it before getting holier than thou.

1. He says he only used a f3 once or twice, big deal about f3, but why lie?
2. He gets called on his lie about only using it twice and his recorded views prove that.
3. He knows he's been caught so he takes his films off mediafire.
4. He gets called on that.
5. He then lies that there is a 3 file limit on mediafire which is why he took them down, not because he got caught in a lie.
6. He gets called on THAT.
7. He realizes he is completely caught and looks like a donkey so he stops posting.

Grizz, while recording from the film viewer you can also toggle from F3 to F1 fluidly just by clicking the radio button (without pausing the film playback) or by hitting the keys F1 or F3.

You're right though, I shouldn't jump to conclussions without actually looking at the film. Sorry for that. Was it an .AHF film file or a .WMV recording?

(I am still somewhat appalled by the general level of anger in this thread, though.)

1. i used F3 mode ONCE during the fight, in which ive stated was to keep an eye on the LA &110 coming in.

3. i took them off media fire because whenever i tried to upload more than 3 films at a time, it would pop up as "failure", im new to using media fire, and didnt think deleting them from my saved list would permenently erase them.
5. wasent lieing. like i said, i can post them again as easily as before if you feel that i am.

7 i stoped posting because i realised no matter what i did the masses on this topic would still think im lieing, no matter what is said, so there was really no point in arguing it anymore. but like i said, shall i post the vids AGAIN?

all you have to do is say yes,

Oooooooohhhh...

Gotcha. You're totally right then. I dunno somehow I got the impression he was recording from the .AHF to get a video file, in which case it doesn't correspond to what he actually used in-flight.

I could care less about the f3 thing, I just despise liars, especially those who lie to cover up a lie, then once they get caught try to figure out how to lie better for the next time.  My old roommate was a compulsive liar, it's definitely a sickness.
