it was/is rare that i'm inside long enough to watch any races anymore, but with this venous ulcer on my ankle......i've been staying off my feet whenever i don't absolutely need to be on them, till it heals again. thus, i was channel surfing.

what would be neat, would be if dodge were to try to get the challenger back into this series, so we could see ford/chevy/dodge battles like they used to get to see in the past.

still though.....ford3, bmw3.....gonna be sure to watch the race at road america now. the comentators were saying something about chevy being allowed to change something on their spoiler, letting that car get closer to the mustang.
i got a feeling that it's gonna soon be all fords, and chevys in the top spots....which will be fun to watch........it's a shame that that there's only gonna be one american car at that point though.

i watch them sometimes. it's truly amazing how they do so much with such small engines, and how they manage to glue those dam things to the track the way they do.
the biggest thing i like about the continental tire challenge, is that it seems to be the equivalent of the old trans am series, and the cars look exactly like the one you or i could buy at the dealer.

and dedalos.....what gives ya that idea?  :devil

You may also want to follow the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series.

It has Riley cars powered by Ford and Chevy ...

And a Chevy powered Coyote ...

Also there are Camaro GT.Rs running along with Corvettes.

but you missed what was/is a large part of what i enjoyed about that race.....i could id those cars. the mustangs looked like....well......mustangs. the camaros also looked like camaros. so on and so forth.

the only ones i had trouble id'ing, were the rice burners, but that's because i'm not into them anyway. people that are though, could easily do so.

and speaking of rice burners.......it seemed awfully strange to see kia racing.  :noid

Only way to do NASCAR is in a suite with pit passes.  Other wise its hot, noisy and you get showered with rubber.
They call it "common sense", then why is it so uncommon?

ill still say it. may i ask... in comparison to open wheel racing, what is the challenge in NASCAR? by no means could i run NASCAR, but its so simple in comparison to LeMans or Formula 1. F1 drivers are adjusting downforce as they go from their steering wheel... like to see NASCAR do that...

Uploaded just for you my little CAPY, Miller Motorsport Park couple of months ago. You can probably recon each car if you pause in HD. The loudest one in the leads is the Caddy, almost like the old Panoz loud. Various classes at once is fun show.

People down south like things simple? Thats the reason the people up north call us slow. We like things simple but with a twist of loud sounds filled in by powerful engines.

the continental tire challenge racing should fit right in.

simple cars, going fast, making lots of noise, and being not too much more than the car you buy from the showroom......oohh...wait.... .fuel injection. never mind.  :devil
