New Late War Arena, Raise the CAP
« on: June 12, 2011, 12:42:58 PM »
When Titanic Tuesday was the only single late war arena, its CAP was 850.  Now that HTC has moved to a new single late war arena, the CAP is set at 450.  This still creates a problem for players that can't get into the arena to join their squad and prevents the ability for players that have been discoed to rejoin the game.  PLease raise the CAP to a higher limit.

been wondering how long it would take for this to happen...less than a week is pretty fast.

Just wondering why the cap was set at 450 when for Titanic Tuesday it was set at a much higher number, 850 I think.  The 450 number presented problems for players that got discoed.  It's not a whine, it's a statment of fact.  I'd like to see the CAP number adjusted up, to where Titanic Tuesday was set.

Maybe Monday morning when they get in to work they might realize it was set wrong or put a post in the announcements forum that it is intentional. It's a weekend just give them time to stroll back in.

not sure where you saw that 800 number but over the past 3 months i haven't seen titanic tuesday cap more than 450 with around 375-415 online during prime time...and the current 450 number doesn't make any sense to me either.

I also saw the cap at 850 this past Tuesday. He's not as think as you drunk he is Gyrene. I hadn't seen it that high after that though but also hadn't seen the numbers get over 400 during the rest of the week. Maybe they are up also because it's a weekend? We might want to consult that numbers OCD afflicted guy Lusche  :old: on that one.

+1 to raising the cap for the single arena though.

I have to disappoint you: I didn't take note of arena CAP on recent Tuesdays, as it was basically "unlimited" for all practical means. I can't tell for sure if it was 850 (which I do believe) or just 450.

EDIT. I surprise myself at times.  :lol  I did take notes.  Last Titanic Tuesday Arena cap was 850

well there are two possible conclusions,

it is human error and it will be changed shortly depending on the amount of whines.

OR

HTC wants more people balanced across the three time specific arenas so anyone who can't get in or would prefer to fly in a less populated arena can go to midwar / early war.   If 450 is the guesstimate that they feel is enough for a large map to become congested and bad for gameplay then you have to respect that.

Have to disagree with your assumption that HTC is somehow balancing arenas with a cap of 450 in the late war arena.  A higher cap in Late war will not  will not inhibit anyone from entering Early or mid war arena.  It just stops someone that was in late war from re-entering if they were discoed .

If I find I’m caped out of the arena I wish to play in, I’m not going to accept second place.

I hope that the numbers are up because the word is out that the single main arena is back and I know that my squads mates hated the split capped arena.

A quick bump up to about 650 would be all it would take.
