A lions player died in a game. He had been hit by Butkus during that game, but I don't believe the two are linked

No that player had a heart attack. Butkus leaning over him and motioning for aid to get out there is what started the rumor that Butkus killed him.

AFAIK, you are correct. It was Chuck Hughes of the Lions who died. I was but a kid watching the game. The story has it that Butkus hit him but it turns out Butkus was actually trying to summon help for him.

There is no team cheaper then the Bears when it comes to offense.

You could've stopped with "there is no team cheaper than the Bears." Yes, that O-line sucked, but it's the McCaskey's who won't properly staff the Bears. Asking anyone the quarterback that offense is like asking someone to be the PM of South Vietnam. Sadly, I remain a fan.

I don't care what people say about Jay Cutler, the guys is bad-arse.

He spent more time on his back than a 2 dollar hooker, yet continued to get back up and do stuff like this.

If the Bears O-line could give him some time, they would be unstoppable.

To my mind, the real chuckle is on Denver. Yeah, the bears let Jay down. But, cast your mind back: Johnny Knox and JC for Kyle Orton and some krapola dp's? Then, the mentally-deficient ORton goes out and puts a string of w's on the board. All the while, I was saying, just wait. That guy will go right back to playing in his own diaper. Sure enough... How'd that one work out, Denver?

Otherwise, typical Bears... If the Walsh strategy starts at the defensive secondary and the Madden strategy starts at the o-line, where does the Bears strategy of solid linebacking/running backs and a speedy flanker fit? It fits in the also-ran category, generally.
