Nope.  Squirrel's tail is likely broken.  Car did hit his tail, and you can see some of the fur towards the Lower R Center area at normal speed and the Lower R corner in the slow motion after the car passes.  Either way, damn lucky squirrel. :O

I heard the car hit its tail, probably broken, but I never saw a documentary stating that a squirrel needs its tail for any survival purposes.
