Fixing GV Spawns
« on: July 08, 2011, 06:56:30 AM »
Anyone who has used a ground vehicle can attest spawning into a fight has its hazards of enemy tanks or bomb****s, however when you "spawn in" and catch a hill or tree and immediately roll over, this is pretty much garbage.

I can already say every tankers worse nightmare and simply brushing a tree or hill which you automatically flip over, but to spawn into a battle and get flipped without doing anything is seriously annoying, especially if you are in a T34 which can't even do anything on a hill.

What i'd like to know is I have noticed the M3/jeep rarely flips over and when it does it rights itself, which any other tank rolls one time and its flipped for good, is it possible to model other tanks to stop this?

If you are being flipped just spawning in by a tree or building you need to send HTC the name of the map, base number and spawn direction so they can fix it.

What is this "T34 can't even do anything on a hill" business?  I've not had a problem going from point A to point B in either T34.

Regarding the roll over issues, I agree that few things are as frustrating as getting rolled over in a Panther tank and being stuck waiting for gv supplies to correct the situation.  I wonder if there is something in the coding that HTC changed in the M3, it seems to right itself far easier than previously.  I mention that because now when the M3 goes airborne after going across the convoy supply road the rear of the M3 stays low while the front goes noes up for the entire jump.  Previously, the M3 landed nose down.  Perhaps a center of gravity change in the M3?  I wonder if the rest of the gv's could have the same thing done?

Try to climb a hill in a T34, even a slightly elevated hill and you will see what I am talking about. Point a to b is fine as long as there isn't a single hill in between.

in other words the T34 has no low end gear there first gear is to high of a ratio so the engine  cant push the tanks even up 10* hills.

only a moron would use Dolby positioning in a game.

RE: Flipped spawning in.

How many times has this happened?

It's happened to me once. Ever.

It's like asking not to be struck by lightning. Although, once struck, you seem to attract it from then on.

The T-34 was designed for the plains of russia.  It only has a 4 speed gearbox and 4th gear is geared higher than any other tank's top gear.

If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.
