An end to the tree pinball effect
« on: July 09, 2011, 01:17:48 AM »
really. do we have to bounce off trees in a tank like a pinball machine.
Got  a tank caught up in a group of trees and just bounced from tree to tree.

If trees are going to be able to stop an 18 ton tank. Cant we just have it so that thats all it does?
do we really need to bounce off of them?

and if you think that's bad try a 63 ton tiger  :bhead :bhead :bhead

also while my minds on it can we fix the "role rate" of the tanks. I'm pretty sure i have a video of me rolling a tiger on a 0.5 grade :cry

I think that an 18 ton tank is able to run down a tree though.

Just watch out for those 2 wheeled wooden carts.  They're more effective than a Belgian Gate.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

I'd like to see the tree caused flipping stop too. On a hill I can understand. but because of bumping into a tree?
If anything. Damage the vehicle by knocking out a track. Then at least it can defend itself even though it cant move.

I somehow down that tank weighs as much as a Tiger, but the trees he be hitting are the ones that cause my Tiger to flip at the brush of a leaf. :bhead  I've gotten stuck bouncing between to trees once (in a WW), near a enemy v-base.  Could only sit there and spaz out before they finally were able to take me out.  Couldn't .ef or anything, short of "pulling the plug".
