I'm guessing you guys don't get thunderstorms in Colordao often or you just got a really cool pic you wanted to share?  :aok

All it needs is a bit of creepy music and Spielberg will have another Oscar nomination.

I live in Alaska -- In my entire life living there I've only seen lightning about three times.

I'm in CO for some time, took a great pic, and wanted to share  :D

Come to the South, we have thunderstorms all the time and the tornados are lovely, also. (Sarcasm, btw. Joplin and Tuscaloosa were horriffic incidents, so don't flame me).

Great photo!

I have video of when ligtning struck my neighbor's house and busted the gas main. Flames everywhere.

Crazy weather.

You want to see lightning? Come to North Texas in spring. Most storms average 100+ ground strikes per hour.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

We get thunderstorms almost everynight here in Colorado during the summer. They start end of June and usually are quite regular thru August. Get a little moisture with them but they suck it right back up and move off into tornado alley and dump on them.

I was actually in Joplin the day they were hit. I was with a group that had been chasing North of town and our storms were dying so we dropped South into town to make a quick restroom stop. unfortunately that was the same time the tornado was tearing through town and we escaped about 45-60 seconds before the tornado crossed the road behind us. we actually got pelted with debris and very strong winds from the outer rotation of the tornado. Absolutely one of the most terrifying things I've been through.
