Howdy all! Once again, I'm dragging strange things home from the local auctions.
First a builders photograph from the "American Locomotive Company - New York City"
Steam Locomotive #1119.

It measures 30 inches across, and I picked it up for 8 bucks.
The other big item was an advertising thermometer from the "Red Comet Coal" co.

It's 39 inches tall and made of heavy porcelain. I paid a little more of this item, but I really liked the way it looks. I cannot find any information about this company on the internet, other than a classified ad in a 1925 newspaper.
It's always funny what shows up at these auctions.
