I've always respected your class, leadership, and the way you handle yourself both in game and on the forums.  I hope you come back at some point in time but regardless I wish you all the best and success in the future.

Sir

Thunder's greatest asset and contribution was in drawing out the qualities Dichotomy speak's of in the 'other' players who flew with him.

He set a tone and temper in his missions that cultivated the finest in game play amongst his crews, and the groups that escorted him

Thunder has the unique ability to make pilots and people better...energized...inspired ...dedicated to mission...team...squad

I was only briefly a member of the 91'st (3 months in the end)...yet that short time eclipsed years of flying with other squads

Pure class...nothing touches it

Your presence will be missed Boss; your contribution will never be forgotten

Catch you on the flip side

Wow, we sure have a good many members when you look at how many pages a post from each fills up. And more are still coming. Not to be disrespectfull of the thread or anything, just comenting.

<S> again thundr. Already missing you sir.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

Thanks again, guys. Don't know how things will go in the future, if I'll make it back or not. Too many real life "irons in the fire".

thndregg,

Good luck, whatever your future brings.  Hopefully someday you'll get the bug again and be in a situation where you have the time.

Gonna post again, just because.

Thndr was one of the inventors of the "bish horde" missions, but back then they were always a challenge and always fun. He always made each run unique, something that would always make the enemy say "wtf?" Whether it be taking a base from across the sea on the trinity map, or bombing a port with 30+ b5ns. He made 3 hour bomber runs exciting, something I would look forward to all week. If there was no action, I was always entertained by the humor and hospitality of him and the rest of the 91st. He was the one who turned me on to the B-17, ole' reliable who never quits. I was seriously considering joining the 91st until BAR contacted me about the 20th.

Phil, I will always consider you the best person this game has ever had, and you are without a doubt one of the most well-respected players on here. The comments in this thread are a testament to that. I hope you find happiness in your life and with your music ambitions, and if you need help with anything, shoot me a PM and I will be happy to lend a hand. By the way, I have an "I survived the A9 raid" t-shirt for you :)

Whether you return or not, thank you for 2 years of great memories
