Dueling Arena Tank Town- help needed

I'm expierencing issues with ground in the DA tank town behaving as water. I've played with all the settings I can think of. All thats left is to change the game resolution. I posted this in the bugs section, but it was dismissed as a graphics issue, so I'm seeking help here.

the tanks sink into the ground, LVT's leave a wake, but when the ground is shot at, it kicks up dust.

I beleive that is an issue with the video card not being able to render the terrain correctly.  What type/make/model of video card is it?

Its just a crappy video chip, not even a vid card. I play on a $450 doller Dell inspiron 1545 laptop, and didn't have the money to add the vidcard offered as an option.


I can go dig up the details if they're needed, but I would rather not go look for the box if I'm screwed either way.



And if I may ask, is it a feature you added to the tank town so PT boats can use it, or is my chip just getting confused?

If it is an older Intel video chip, then you are pretty much stuck with what you have.  Those chips did well to run Microsoft Office,a dn even Intel put up a disclaimer they were not meant to run DirectX games.
