On August 13th, Air Heritage is hosting our 5th Annual Aviation Appreciation Day.

It is a Fly in and car cruise that takes place at the Beaver County Airport (KBVI). If anyone is interested in coming, it is about 45 minutes North of Pittsburgh, about 1.5-2 hours East of Cleveland and about 1.5-2 hours South of Erie driving. Its small, but its cool none the less. There are no admission/parking fees either.

*All of our aircraft will be displayed
*Our C-123 will be opened for touring (we request a $2 donation per person if you want to walk through it to help keep it running)
*Our museum room will be open for touring
*PX (toys, shirts, etc) stand will be open
*Breakfast, Lunch and refreshments will be available for purchase from the local EAA chapter in our hangar.
*We will have our Space Shuttle, F-18 and A-6 kiddie rides running around the ramp ($2 per child, parents ride free with their kids)(Our rides are licensed by the state)

Last year we had quiet a few GA aircraft come in. Three Sterman that are based on the field came over along with aircraft from the local flight schools. I don't know if the flight schools will be able to give rides directly from the event or not(they weren't allowed to last year), but you can always purchase them at the FBO itself for $60 for a half hour flight(that is Moore Aviation's price).

Some pics from last year.

I'd love to come but I'm a little far from you and I'm actually going to be busy on that day. This this an annual thing? If so I'll try to make it happen for next year.

Lol, ok... see you next year :lol

Im actually thinking about trying to get the Collings Foundation to come next year with at least the B-17G "Nine-0-Nine"  (if not the B-24 as well) because next year will be the 25th anniversary of the Nine-0-Nine crashing at the airport. We were the ones that then restored it back to flight.

Rhah, just charter a global hawk or G-V or something with range... you could fly right in, we can call up a customs officer, and you could be part of...errr... could be the show :lol :bolt:
