DR1 gets its wings clipped....
« on: July 30, 2011, 07:06:36 AM »
Thoughts on the remodelled DR1? think the arena will be more balanced after this. Hopefully some of the people who were sick of the DR1's uber FM will return on a more regular basis. Will be interesting to see if the 'top DR1 sticks' now switch to the D7 now the DR1 is fixed!  :D

Im not a huge WWI fan, and I know nothing about those aircraft, but I'm not under the impression that the Camel lagged that far behind.  Good to see HTC corrected a few things.  :D

now... if we can just get them to double check (and I dare say "correct") the Ghey16 they'll really impress a lot of players.  ;)

Yeah DR1 was streets ahead in a sustained circle for instanteous turn it still beats the F1 but sustained turnfight now is at least parity. As for the 16 its really not as good as you think, I find them pretty easy kills. The d7 is now the best of the planeset as it was in WW1.

Nobody has ever supplied any information that the Spitfire Mk XVI is modeled incorrectly.  Just lots of whines that Spitfires sucked in reality and should be free kills, but this one puts up a fight and sometimes wins.

I have stated in other threads change the map so there is auto ack shooting at everthing below 2K. Force the fight upwards & see how the DR1 compares .

no no...not a "Spitfires sucked" in reality, but rather an over-modeled and under-recognized awesomeness of the Spitfire 16.  Two very different things.   ;)

Define how it is over modeled and supply some data to support that.  All the data I have seen about the Spitfire LF.Mk IXe supports the current model.
