Duxford Wing RAF Recruitment NoticeDuxford Eagles have a few openings we’d like to get filled. We have only a few criteria:
We demand that you:1. Have the ability to carry yourself with poise and respect. Humble in Victory, Gracious in Defeat, at all times. Channel 200 rants are not tolerated.
2. Your desire to be a team member of an upstanding unit with a very polished reputation. Colour, creed and beliefs are immaterial to us.
3. You are willing to be a team player when asked. You are willing to train to improve your skill set. (We try to wing up all the time)
4. You’re a paying member of the game of age 14 or older (the stipulation at this age is your C/O has the contact details of the bill payer and/or your guardian)
What we offer:Duxford Wing RAF pays tribute to a wing that earned its name high above the skies of Britain. Currently, the Duxford Wing’s roster has both UK/Euro and US time zone players. You may join the Eagles whom represent the overseas pilots who choose to make a stand with the RAF.
“Squad nights/days” on Sunday and Thursday for most of the day, during which we run mini-missions which include long range/high alt’ bombing runs with escort. Mossi raids on enemy bases, fighter sweeps, carrier group bombing runs, base captures, etc. If you like you can lead it.
Most of the missions are based off of a consensus, as no one person rules the show. Yes, we have a chain of command that is well-respected, but they insist that this unit belongs to all of us. We all help each other. We all have something to teach and we all have something to learn. Skill is not required. (The Boss has trained me successfully for 3 years
)
We are a very laid-back squad - the most important rule is to have FUN or bugger off.
We partake in the scenario events as much as possible, more consistently in the FSO but have made SEC a bit. (Loose Deuce CO, dhyran, runs a mean show in SEC <S>)
What you need to do next:Contact a member of the squad in game on channel 187; you will be invited to spend a 2-week trial with the squad to see if you like Duxford Wing RAF (and if we like you). At the next squad meeting you will be voted upon, if you like us and we like you, you’re in.
