He probably meant m/s, since it is a german tank.

Actually I Posted it right from the manual, it must be a typo because 1250Ft/s is 381 mp/s and would be to slow to penetrate the side of a barn.
However 4,100 ft/s seems rather high for muzzle velocity, not sure on this one.

the Jagd IV had the 75mm Stu.K.42 L / 70, which fired the same ammo as the Panther's 75mm Kw.K.42 L / 70.  That means at the PzGr.39 projectile was moving at 935 m/s and could punch through 89mm of 30° armor at 2000m.

The frontal and side armor was very comparable to the Panther.  It would be a Panther w/o a turret.  It would deadly at long ranges, but a fast moving T34 or M18 would be the bane of the Jagd IV since it could not traverse fast enough to follow.  I seriously do not think most people comprehend how difficult it is going to be not having a turret.  Go spend some time in the M3/75mm and see how much fun it is to try and traverse the entire vehicle to stay on a moving target.  Remember, that means if you are able to keep up you are turning your side armor to the enemy's front.

As I said in my first post, it would fun to have but I think the Su-100 would be a better "first" for a turret-less AFV in AH simply because of the numbers and usefulness, followed closely by the StuG III.

+1 Tank destroyers are under represented IMHO.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

The Jagdpanzer 38t

And just for giggles: a german halftrack with a 20mm mounted

The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

I was hoping we'd have the Wirb and Osti either very LOW eny, and gain the Halftrack and M-16 as primary AAA units for when the new patch comes out.

Halftrack had no armor, and a single 20mm would be 20-25 eny, vs M-16 thats 40 eny.

Could open up a range of AAA ideas.

Not a bad choice. A better choice would be for Axis side the JgPanther and JgTiger and for the allies side the Su-85 and Su-100
