Care to elaborate? Doesn't seem right.
On what ? The P-40 ? Or the way they ruined their air game ?
I'll guess you meant the 2nd. First off there are very few airplanes in the game to begin with. Then they are further limited by cycles or tiers. The game starts in '39 & '40 and goes for a few weeks with only a few fighters to fly. Next cycle comes up, '40 to '41, and another fighter is introduced. And on and on until the last tier which is '44 to '45. Even then there isnt much in the hangars, and its further limited by production qoutas and individual player rank. You start off at a low rank and it will be months until you could fly a decent airplane. Then you often have very long flight times from the fields to the action. Most bombers, not that they have more then two, often bail after dropping cause they dont want to fly all the way back to their base and land.
Lastly, in a burst of brilliance, they introduced "dynamic weather". Whose only dynamic is to put the entire map under the same 200' cloud cover for hours and hours at a time which always seems to have coincided with America weekend prime game times. With all the altitude on the map often there is very little space between cloud and ground, and of course nobody much flys over the clouds so its like trying to dogfight in between the bread slices of a salami sandwich.
And never do they introduce a new plane. They have no modelers hired. All they do is make little meaningless adjustments to the ground game. I just did a 2 week free there and their numbers are way down. Most of all in the air. I played it for two years hard and the clouds and lack of new stuff just drove me away. Now they are bringing in M1 garands and bazookas but that will not save their air game. I'd be surprised if that game lasts after B-3 comes out anyways.
But the P-40 versions were a joy to fly. And quite competative.
