First, go back to the ATI CCC and reset everything to default.  In the game, disable shadows.  What frame rate do you get?

Also, I noted there are 3 active sound cards in the computer.  That is going to eat up a lot of resources and overhead for any given sound being played.  Are you really using the ATI sound card?

I'm no expert here... but shouldn't it list the specific video card? "5800 series" is rather generic... Might that indicate a video driver issue?

Do you remember what version of Catalyst drivers you were installing? For example my card at home is running 11.6.

Its a 5870. not sure of the driver or CCC version, but when I get home I'll look at it.

I wouldn't think that any thing I did to the settings in the CCC would negatively affect the game.

Maybe if I played some graphics intensive game like Crysis or something, but not Aces High.

Should my settings be on "application controlled"?? Letting the game I'm playing set the parameters itself??

Not really sure what those settings are for.

I just need you to get back to a "known" state.  Too hard to debug if things are not at defaults.

Should I repost the Dxdiag again after I do that??

Thanks for the help btw.

are you using the hdmi connection for that monitor? skuzzy would know better than me but i could have sworn someone else had a similar issue using an ati video card and the hdmi port... :headscratch:

and there's something funky with your driver information...you might want to try doing a full uninstall of the drivers, run something like driver cleaner to get rid of all traces then do a reboot/reinstall.
