Neverplayed any of the games. I've been told by buddies I'd love it, then I read about the actual air combat portion of the game and it sounds extremely arcadey with Damage Points and other things that just aren't that fun in the air... Sometimes that lucky snapshots the only shot you'll get, and you want it to have a chance of at least killing something...
