Flew a few sorties in the Mossie last night.  One I bagged a P-47D-40, F6F-5 and P-40E before being shot down.  12 perk points.

Well I gotta say all these P-51 and B-17 missions are making me groan at night. Most of all when the 51s are loaded with enough gas to fly 10 missions in a row without refueling. Whatever happened to the varied and historical missions we "Rooks" used to run ? Theres a huge Hangar full of all kinds of airplanes to run missions with.

I dont like pointing this out on comms cause it will start drama but a P-51D with 100% fuel, and drop tanks, can fly around the entire map twice. Why load it so to attack a base 1 or 2 sectors away ? And why not use other plane sets also if you want to stay accurate with history ?

Last night I got bored with all the low eny planes, the Knit mobs, the gameplay, and went into WW1. Which was a 0 the entire time I sat in there. Pitiful waste of a huge plane base in Aces High. Last good mission I was on was with JU-88s on a torpedo run with German iron flying cover.

Brew are extremely fun to fly against in a A6M3. Had that opportunity twice this tour. Both were blasts.

I-16 is insanely fun to fly, and you never seem to get hit in it either.
Yes, I love the I-16 when a base is being vulched because I can usually take off & turn hard immediately to keep the B'nzers off me. Occasionally one will auger trying too hard to stay on me or will pull straight out in front on my sights and lose a wing etc.  :salute

P47-D25 and D-40 are the funnest to me :t  those planes are bullet sponges and turn like spits.

As long as nothing shoots you in the underside, at which point you have roughly 3 minutes left before meeting Mother Earth. :P

I always enjoy Hap's missions. B-25Cs and P-40Bs for escorts. Massive fun!
