Daughter wants a cheap back up computer
« on: August 19, 2011, 06:54:20 PM »
Daughter needs a decent back up computer. I was thinking of going with a micro board and an amd chip. I have a case, OS, & Video card. So I need a power suppy, MB, DVD drive, HD, memory, and chip.

Money wise we'd like it to be under 200 bucks. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

That's very close to what I was looking at. I found a good ps in my closet so that's taken care of.

Will be even closer to 200 if you ditch the second harddrive from that list.

sorry, the double listed components are "alternatives".

check the specs on that psu getback, and cross check with the graphics card you're using to make it will work...either not enough constant output or not enough on power on the +12v rail.

I found a PS here at home and got the price down to 208. Thanks for the help!
