No disrespect intended, but do you actually think that would get used? The way I read this, to get from one base to another you'd have to drive the whole way, taking spawn points and defending them as you go?
While I kind of like the idea from a realism standpoint, I just don't see people being ok with it. Fight and drive for hours to get from base A to base B to attempt a take, or fly there in minutes, bomb the heck out of it, and take it. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Wiley.
You understood correctly. And yes, I do think it would get used.
If you tried to take a base by air and succeeded, you would then find yourself surrounded by enemy gv spawns... What then?
If you had enough people that wanted to keep that base, you could probably put up a good enough defense to keep it and start moving out into their territory, but which direction?
That is one of the major advantages of this method. It allows a fire and move type of fight. Getting flanked, surrounded or out maneuvered becomes a significant risk.
GV fights could end up in some part of the map that has never had a single vehicle scuff its digital underbrush and spawn campers cant predict which spawn you will pop up at giving them plenty of incentive to stay on the move.
As for making sense, how does it make anymore sense having a tank town where there is no real objective to the fight. It doesnt! The whole point is to have a
good fight That is the end all, be all of the GV in this game.
Taking bases is an important and fun part of this game and I dont know exactly how much it would slow the progress of "airfield taking," but just like htc does now, they can tweek the conditions until the right balance of play-ability and entertainment exists.
