Just finished a week running thru NC and Va doing restoration work.

All but one of the lines my crew rebuilt were torn down by trees. Maybe two of the trees had actually separated from the stump before falling. The rest fell when the rain loosed the soil and the wind gave the trees a "push". I cant tell you how many trees Ive seen in the past week whose root system was in the air like some cheap latticework fencing.

You would be amazed at the number of customers who knowingly plant trees in the right of way and then howl at the "injustice" of the trees being cut to prevent outages.
