I don't know if its just because I'm Australian but the earlier Australian episodes are funnier. Some guy has gone to the trouble of putting them all in order on Youtube, just search "Wilfred 101" for series 1 episode 1 and it runs in order from there.

It's the cultural references. I'm exactly opposite, I like the US version better. But, only because I understand the references and get the jokes.

The premise is very good. I was skeptical at first, but it won me over pretty quick.
