Questions about ack and flack.

Couple of questions about it.

1. can Ack/Flak detonate bombs while still on their racks if hit? Ive read some stories about B17's blowing up when they open their doors&flak hit their bombs. so im curious whether this is modeled in AH.

2. Does Ack/Flak ever intentionally go after your drones? or is the fire always directed upon the player-controlled plane and if the drones get hit its only because their in the line of fire?

3.When destroying ack, Do they have it modeled by how many rounds of that type of ammo it would take to kill the gunners of the ack. or the actual ACK itself?

1) Coincidence maybe?  Flack hit the fuel tanks around the same time they opened doors?  How would they report that incident anyway?

One story that sticks out is the first Liberty bell. As she was dropping her bombs, A flak burst went off, detonating it in mid air. Damaging 5 other bombers and blowing her half to hell.

3.When destroying ack, Do they have it modeled by how many rounds of that type of ammo it would take to kill the gunners of the ack. or the actual ACK itself?   It counts the damage done to the ack until it reaches its damage set point

Ive read some stories about B17's blowing up when they open their doors&flak hit their bombs. so im curious whether this is modeled in AH.  it can get lucky, and it can one shot you if enough damage is inflicted to a specific area.  we'll leave it up to your imagination weather it was a direct hit to your bomb load or fuel tanks or...

2. Does Ack/Flak ever intentionally go after your drones? or is the fire always directed upon the player-controlled plane and if the drones get hit its only because their in the line of fire?  It is a scripted and randomly orchestrated event centered about your aircraft when conditions are met (flying within range and above 3k altitude over an enemy CV or enemy strat), be it a single fighter or the lead bomber in the box.  On buffs the area the ack is bursting around you is large enough to engulf the entire box.  The ack puffs not only have the potential to damage your drone and main bomber, but any other friendly or enemy AC flying within the range of it exploding around your plane(s).

3.When destroying ack, Do they have it modeled by how many rounds of that type of ammo it would take to kill the gunners of the ack. or the actual ACK itself?  It is a set amount of damage inflicted on the ack itself, no pilot/gunners modeled into them to wound or kill - if a 40mm emplacement takes 100 rounds of .50cal, then all similar 40mm gun emplacements take 100 rounds of .50cal to destroy.
