Tagma Map, P90 glitch
« on: July 07, 2011, 05:53:19 AM »
We were trying to take P90 on this map and noticed that there is another map room just off the western shore, a bit south of base and north of the SB.  When one of the LVT's dropped it's troops off base they ran there instead of to the base's map room.

It's probably the maproom attached to the CV of that port.  Each CV group needs a maproom attached to it so it can be captured after spawning when its port has been captured.  Usually, those CV maprooms are tucked away in some remote location on the map where people generally won't find them, since sending troops to them does nothing.

If the troops were running there instead of the port's maproom, then it genuinely is a problem and that maproom needs to be moved.

troops do run to it and kick dirt if you're closer to it than the port's map room. dont think the CV gets captured though.

we noticed the same at P39 on tagma the other night (this one was just off the beach SSE of the port):

Or, perhaps they have discovered S.A.P.P.'s secret margarita bar and high heel emporium?

maybe the cv maproom should be enable.  that will stop people from hiding them cv's inside mountains.

And perhaps randomize their location each map reset...give the GV'ers something to look for and fight for.  Epic swarms of jeeps and M8's rolling across the terrain like locusts looking for the CV maproom to capture.  :devil
