Agreed, gonna just need that solarpowered plane that I heard about a few months ago, able to store enough charge to last it's engine through the night.

I'd go to the airport, find a plane, and fly it as far north as I can go. Chill with the bears until the zombie apocalypse is over.

Ill take a barret on top of my roof with around a few gazillion rounds for the win
m14/30 round mag, with ammo would be lighter and just as effective at ranges that matter. you wouldn't get tired of shooting the thing either.

yall are a bunch of pansies.

im taking a F-18 hornet and a US aircraft carrier.

maybe a few cruise missles....
:headscratch: see if i have this straight, up close and personal is pansy compared to miles away with massive destructive power? yeah, alrighty then. why not just grab a nuke powered sub, launch all the nukes on board and hide out around tahiti until the radiation clears?

up close and personal is far from being a pansy. im talkin on your guys's choice of firepower....

if your only using a bat/shotgun, you have nothing down there. whereas if your launching missles and dropping bombs, your living the fun life!

The idea of holding out on land is a poor one.  A far better option is to sail out to sea, and use a solar still to desalinate water and eat fish and other flora and fauna.  Occasional trips to shore for citrus fruits and other small necessities would also be important.  Using sails would remove the need for fuel, and sailing in the Bahamas would allow for easy access to some very tasty animals.

Why even bother living out at sea?

If the virus wasent airborn, just sail and take shelter IN the bahamas. The islands are remote enough to where Zombies couldnt reach them. Unless the virus went airborne or zombies suddenly learned how to use boats.

You forgot airplanes; during a pandemic they would be the fastest method of intercontinental transmission.

Which would you consider harder to learn to operate in a panic situation? a Boat, or a Plane?

It also depends on how much training you have.  I've sailed since I was ten on all shapes and sizes of boats, but I've never flown a plane.

Again the bat is always reliable. now you may not run into a horde of zombies it may be at most 4 or 5 zombies (well if you live in a small and open place like me) the city is where you will run into huge numbers of zombies so stay away from them and the bat will be the best weapon you can have. only use guns if you lose the bat or are confronted with a group of zombies 10 or larger. frankly i would choose a desert eagle as my choice in firearm. light enough to where it isnt dead weight like the berrett and enough punch where it will take one shot to the head to kill the zombie.

Good luck carrying the ammunition for that thing- 50 caliber bullets are large and heavy.  In addition, zombies won't be the only thing to slay.  Consider the number of looters and raiders who would prey upon the weak in order to obtain supplies.

That's why I said the AA-12.  4 rounds/sec and 20 round drums. Not to mention the assortment of shells you can get for a .12ga.

There's Sabot, which is a giant hollow point bullet. There's Flechette, 20 steel darts in a shell. Dragon's Breath, an incendiary round. (I bet those would be fun on Zombies  :devil).

So no choice for me really....

Well, you need a good brain splattering head shot for a zombie...  So I would probably just go with deer slugs.  Cheaper then those specialty rounds too.
