The 12 hour switch time was initiated to address unfairness as some would switch back and forth to reveal enemy Cv locations, Missions ect. ENY for player # imbalance.

Hitech said before the arena's split it was always a 12 hour limit, when the Arena split into ( LWOrange LWBlue ) they removed the 12 hour switch rule, when the numbers couldnt support using two LW arena's and they went back to the Old single LW arena and the 12 hour switch time came back to.

Same for CV guns as well.

Take your ENY like a man.  Air Warrior had 24h (23?h) waiting period to change country with NO whiner.

At present even those who hopped country every hour before to the side that suited their score best now need to think strategically as to where they go every 12h.

Airwarrior didn't have ENY, and for most of its life didn't have base capture...even when it did, you were limited to only a certain amount of bases. Your comparison is totally invalid.

Also...the people who hopped a lot as a whole dont do it for score..they do it to find good fights which you probably would know nothing about.

True but those days are slipping away slowly being replace by the insta kill gratification crowd more concerned about getting kills with no regard on how they achieve them, no need to work for that Kill anymore just point and spray, I've shot wings off planes and they slowly tumble to the ground only to see others diving in on the same plane tumbling trying to fill it with more lead to get the "kill" or light some bombers on fire and people still put more lead into it trying to get that important "kill",  you see 7 people dive on one or two cons, players who fly high trying to pick an easy unsuspecting targets in a furrball then once they lose all advantages they scamper off, the style of gameplay has just changed IMO.

Course if folks learned to fly more then uber planes ENY would never be a problem.
In the long run they would end up being better pilots for it in all planes.

When ENY is in effect. I simply switch to a different plane. I earn my pay one way or the other

I've been having good days in the Yak-9U. Earns up the perks for flying the F4U-4 when the ENY isn't borked; knock down three Ponies and you're set.

Overall, I like the ENY system. I do think it's a bit clunky, though; I feel like it should start at 5 instead of 0, and require slightly more imbalance to increase to compensate for that. But, I argue against myself, as that would instantly remove perk rides as soon as things started getting the slightest bit lopsided. That's also influenced by my liking of the 12h switch limit.

definition of uber is not the same for everybody.  I consider all p38's and 109's uber.  same for the p47's with unlimited ammo, not even gonna include the incredible c205 which is darn good.  eny is just an inconvenience at one point or another.

take the ponyd which i love to fly.  eny kicks in get the ponyb which is just as maneuverable as a spit but with no cannons, or I'll get the spit8 or the 9 or I'll take the c205 which has way too cannon rounds and it's fast as hell, or I'll take the p47d400 which has some really cool skins and kicks buttt unless you gotta climb in which case then it kicks your butt and if it does then get a 190 and just fly around picking people :).  hell now we even have the p40e which is a darn good plane.

you want eny to really do what is meant to do then lower eny for troop carrying gv/plane.

semp
you dont want me to ho, dont point your plane at me.

You keep thinking that.

AW was set up (and for most of it's life, run) as an air vs air game.  After the AOL run and back to VA it went base capture was introduced.  Many AW people only know this period of time as the PRE-AOL era was out of many people's monitary reach.   Why ENY was instituted here is still a mystery to me, but it's part of the game so I accept it without worry.

However, with AW 24h rule, no whiners clammored onto the internet to comiserate and pass boxes of tissues.  They sucked it up and adjusted their strategiues accordingly...100% VALID as should be done today.

WOW! paranoid much?

I would think very few switch as "spyz", and points won't get you far. Perks, ya that is a possibility, as well as the stupid people that switch just before the war was won for the perks they WON'T get.

For those that switch for stupid reasons there are more likely twice as many that switch just to find fights, or make them.

seems he knows more about it than you.   as a person who used to change sides frequently, i can tell you, it wasn't to get 25 measly perks, and it certainly wasn't to run with the horde.  i, and many of my friends, switched to FIGHT the horde.   you think what you want to think tho.  the people who should know how it really is already do ;)   have fun burgerboi

I get bored and fly "spy bait" missions at least 2 per week....sometimes 5 or 10.

Fly any plane deep into enemy territory NOE and land it nowhere near the action as well as away from fields where buffs launch who might fly over by chance.

Hit record and go mow the lawn or other chores.....go shopping....etc.

When you review your film, you will see the guy who eventually showed up to kill you  upped a plane, beelined direct to your location, shot you up, and returned to his base.

Before the 12 hour side switch limit, you were guaranteed this would happen pretty quickly.

Now?......Not so much, if at all.

No need to fly spy bait missions anymore with the 12 hour switch so I now up LTVs on long swims.

Of course, the simplest way to stop this type of spying is to make friendly dots disappear much like the enemy dots disappear when they are below radar floor.
