Why would choosing an AMD CPU do?

actually either one will work just fine as long as you do the research of the components and make sure they are a good "fit"

I have built at least 15 to 18 AMD based systems that handle Aces high with no problems.......

Intel does allow you the use of 2 cores though, it just costs a wee bit more on some things depending how high you want to go ( decent rig verses killer gaming machine )

I actually have (2) close to top of the line in my eyes gaming Rigs,  one is AMD based the other is Intel based........... I have no problems with either Rig.....

a person can pick the right components and get them an Intel build just as cheap as an AMD if they research properly.......

hope this helps

amd only uses one core to play ah.  intel uses 2.  with amd you have to make sure the components "match", with intel, it's a lot simpler.  so intel it's only a few bucks more but a lot less headachesm, specially for a first build.
