Not necessarily two.  There's flying solo and there have been many instance of two or more from my understanding.  But such discussions do not belong on this particular board ;)

I miss my Aces High splash screen background that had the My Little P51s, LGay-7s, and all sorts of other meme-ish plane skins flying together. One of HTC's "lol let's force overwrite your cool stuff" patches nuked it before I thought to make a backup...though I'd had it since AH1.
