For planning, here's a copy of the un-marked New Britain strat map:

And here is the map with CV areas and land bases marked for this FSO:

I don't see 'newbrit' on the Aces High Terrains download page, nor do I have it in my list of maps. Is there another place or way to get this file?

AFAIK, the terrains download page is not yet up-to-date with the new Black Sea and New Britain maps.  The way I loaded those two maps on my home PC was to log on to the AH online area, set up a custom arena, and select the map I wanted from the list displayed by the server.  The map chosen was then sent down to my machine.  Perhaps the New Britain map has been withdrawn from the server?  >shrug<

I'll ask the map team.  Stay tuned...

I am informed that the "newbrit" map is available to download when you create an online custom arena.

Thanks, Mr Midi.   :salute

Attention all hands, attention all hands!

Be advised that CV96, the IJN "Shokaku", has been recalled to the port at Truk for urgent repairs (i.e. map bug fix).

It is confidently expected that the IJN will place another CV in that area before Friday night, although at this time the identity of that CV remains unknown.

That is all.
