Frame Four Allied AAR

Lt. Chem and I took off from our field on a mission to destroy the enemy radars, me in a heavy P-38 and Chem in a Spit to escort me in.  We ran into two co-alt enemy 109's, escorting what we thought would be a bomber and decided to abort the radar mission and take out the bomber; we were a little let down to find it was not a bomber, but a decoy 109 and we now had two 109's above us.  Blasted Rooky mistake!  We tangled with the 109's clear down to the deck where we were in a slow turn fight for a good while, until I managed to clip a wing on the ground, Lt. Chem suffered the same fate.

Not able to replane, we both saddled up as gunners for the main bomber mission, being flown by Lt. Oceans and Maj. OldBull.  We flew way out to the East of the enemy base and entered a holding pattern, until the last part of the frame; about this time our Fighter CAP at our airfield intercepted the enemy bomber force.  Maj. Jousts took out an enemy bomber, but was shot down immediately there after by a 109; he then upped a GV at our airfield for the remainder of the frame.  Sik1 shot down a 109 and damaged another bomber at our airfield, before RTB'ing for ammo and fuel; our airbase received no damage from the attack.  Lt. Xray unfortunately discoed with in sight of the enemy bombers and was not able to engage them; he reupped a new bird when he was able to reenter the game.

At this time Lt. Oceans and Maj. OldBull turned in on the enemy airfield for their bomb runs; Oceans, from the North and OldBull from the East.  Oceans picked up a couple of 109's on his run, but was able to drop on a destroy his target (Bomber hanger) and egress to the West dragging the two 109's.  Lt. Chem was the tail gunner and was able to destroy one of the 109's and the other disengaged, with an engine out I believe.  OldBull was able to make a good run and destroy his bomber hanger as well; he picked up a single 109 on his egress, but it was not able to catch us, before Sik1 showed up and forced him to disengage the pursuit and dive for home.

It was a good night and with the exception of Lt Chem and I getting suckered into a trap, everyone performed exceptionally well. <S>

This  outta  make  turning a little  more difficult for SIK1 in his P38G.

While I was busy with the -38(SIK1), leading him with tracers--  I had  thought that there was another Bogie near  me who had surprised me with an engine  hit..Turns  out I hit  my Wingman ( Trap78) right in the Powerplant-- Dammit !!   lol   :)

Now  with a Quiet Engine & Prop Feathered... I'm  the Prey with Trap78 in Pursuit....

my gear "in Transit".. making for a ditch in the sand... and by the way... "WATCH OUT FOR THE SMALL SAND DUNES (ya  dummy)"

"Jeeesh, no wonder I never saw those dunes until I was Amongst them"..** Climbs out of the hotseat, removes 'Chute**   "Look at that Windscreen Covered in oil".

P40 Within the bombers....(MrJoust's-- I believe)

Bandit78 on fire.... trying to put it out by diving..... and of course...with Impact pending.

Bandit78 Didn't quite make the Parachute pull--- KABOOOM went the JU88, as Trukk78 looks in disbelief from his perch

<<S>> Avengers... ya got another SSO  frame  !!

OK, please no more. I've seen enough of my flaming wreckage lazily floating toward the tractless desert floor. At least someone NOT named Sik1 did the deed this time
It also appears the AH gods are angry over our last-second torpedo hit which won us the Guadalcanal SSO. Finally get an 88 through the defense and take out 2 hangers...surely a victory is in hand....only to have two of ours scratched out later.  :bhead

C205's (as defense) and alone JU88 with a 109G2 as escort, ready and OTR

C205's on the TO Roll--Lead has gear in transit

Hammering one of the Multicrewed B26's-- B26 pilot OldBull and Lutrel as Gunner

Hawkeye's C205 clearing the Debris--just barely

Lining up on # 2 B26 with Tango78 already poking holes in his Airframe

Tango78 in for the kill !

Ouch !! Leftwing isn't goona do very well with  those  hits

Smacking the Fuselage hard--it won't be long  now

With NO AirCon's to hinder us... we all pounce on the last B26... with devestating results

Bombs  out !!... but  just as he starts to begin his death roll...     :(

OldBull and Lutrel in the silk..... looks like OldBull forgot to pull the ripcord in time.....  SPLAT

Lutrel & his Colt45 ready to take on the Enemy--- Chute & all.  Must be difficult trying to be stealthy with that still attached  !

<<S>> Avengers!!

We'll be on the lookout for "Lut"....  seems he might have found a barn (and Helga.. the Buxomly Blonde) to hide out with or finish the war in peace & quiet

Just before the Annihilation of Wirble's on patrol

Traveling more than 25mph....Hawkeye78---  clipped a dandelion and put the beast  in "bicycle" mode, then settled her back down.

Taking down A20 Pilot "OldBull"

A fellow Wirble ends in a dust cloud...never to be seen again... My fate will soon follow

Confirmation we took down an A20

My fate follows the 500# bomb  dropped from SIK1
