Yeah it's interesting, sucks that it did not work.

I can't think of a single airplane that never crashed, it happens. What they were doing for a C-130 for highly specific for that mission and dangerous, I seriously doubt it's still in use.

The narrator is an idiot.  The airplane did not crash because the crew fired the rockets too early.  What happened was the rockets that were angled down did not fire to arrest the high sink rate.
