most people in here probably don't fly with their camera's rolling.

If it's impacting your gameplay so significantly, is it really that hard to toggle the auto-film every sortie checkbox?  The tool is there for you to use.  What is wrong with it?

How many times have you witnessed something in-game and wished you had film of it but didn't because your camera wasn't on? There needs to be an option or avenue one has at their disposal for instances where one on views violations occurring and your not filming, that's all I'm saying.

Nutz

Violations...  What game are you playing?  How many 'transgressions' do you see in a typical evening, or week, or month?

I must be playing in a different arena from some of you guys.  Since I've been here, I can count on one hand the number of things I've seen that I thought were 'odd', and nothing I would out and out say is cheating.

On the other hand, I've seen enough whining in game and in forum about perceived cheating, and stuff I've observed that I know for a fact wasn't cheating that was whined about.  A 'complaints' tab on the clipboard would do little more than create another source of spam for HTC to look through.

Why can't the busybodies use the tools available to them already?  Film would capture pretty much any bad gameplay I can think of.

I'm surprised anybody would defend intentionally exploiting a glitch, particularly since that glitch prevents people from playing the game as the designers intended.  I'm fairly certain HTC didn't design it so that countries could possess invisible and invincible carriers.

Apparently HTC's policy is that if you can provide a film or screenshot evidence of someone cheating via glitch exploitation, the offender will be punished. So no problem there.

However I doubt anyone is going to get banned for swapping country-sensitive information over 3rd party applications (or doing other lame things that are allowed by the game code, but don't fit some people's idea of honour)

Dead Man, was this directed toward me? If so, you might want to reread my earlier posts on this subject as I'm not defending any questionable game play. To the contrary, I was simply offering some suggestions as to how perceived infractions should be handled.

If not directed my way, sorry and nvm.  :)

Yet it happens every day.  What about the guy who knows he's a warper and doesn't care?  I don't remember anyone being booted when you could drive inside windmills.  It took forever to fix the Jeep killing a tank from the inside bug.  I doubt any of that was intentionally designed.

This stuff exists, probably always will to some degree and some people will exploit it.  It's just the nature of the beast.  Thankfully 99% of the populaion won't.

In response to another post designing an in-game report mechanism?  Post it in the bug thread, send HT an e-mail.  Eventually it will get fixed.  Desining a system to report people for percieved misconduct would only turn out bad.  The guy who can't understand that just because he can't see the enemy tank they can still see his, The person who really knows how to handle their plane and pulls off an "impossible" manuever, the guy with E who's plane can't "possible" fly that fast.  I hear these whines every time I play in the MA and just shake my head at how uninformed so much of the player base is.  All the good players would be gone with a system like that.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Nah, I doubt anyone would be banned for that.  That's a clever use of non-game mechanics.

Edit: Toned down as advised.

Would be nice if HTC would let us know if reporting CVs that have been abused in the MAs is of any interest to them or not (either for persuing a solution or perpetrator).

Well now, this is a slightly different argument.  I wholeheartedly agree that so long as glitches/bugs exist, players will exploit them.  This is a competitive game, after all, and some players will engage in questionable activities to gain an advantage; that's human nature.  That said, human nature may explain why people exploit, but it doesn't excuse the behavior.

I believe you've missed the point BE. Currently you must have film of any perceived misconduct to send to HT. I suggested a way of addressing and reporting the problem in-game in the event one is not filming. As posted earlier, being able to alert the Moderators might be an option to explore. It may or may not be a bug, but if it is and it's being exploited, wouldn't you want a way to try and deal with it on the spot? As far as the person who can't distinguish between actual game effects and exploitation, hopefully that will come with experience.

As to "All the good players would be gone with a system like that", how so? Please read my earlier posts. You might find I addressed this concern when I wrote "If an allegation is made and VERIFIED, then a ban might be in order".

Sorry if it came off personal, I was just responding to the idea.  I've been online flight simming for almost 5 years, only been here the last 1 1/2.  It's SS DD here or in the other ones, or in any online game that has PVP really.
