I should point out that the 780i system I have uses a Q9650 Quad core and is not overclocked while the Sandy Bridge is a 2600K. Both systems use the same video card and both have AH eye candy maxed. The same 780i with an E8400 will play AH at acceptable levels but you would notice the frame rates dipping occasionally which is still acceptable.
