How did you come up with the death total for fighter/attack?  I can find the kills for them, but the deaths are totaled as one.  I can not subtract the bombers out because I do not know if I flew them as attack or bomber (i.e B25)

You don't go by plane. You simply check the pilot score sheet, which lists kills for fighter, bomber and attack mode separately. And by the way, for this chart I ignored all discos. Death (X-axis on the chart) = sum of fighter and attack bail + capture + death.

How long did this one take you? and are you planning on making a big one for the year?

You guys do know that you can approximate your position by matching your K/D to the chart. I did that and was only two dots off.

I must be missing something, I checked my pilot score, but Kills are broken up for Fighter/attack/bomber/gv, but deaths are grouped into one big pool.

Go to pilot score, not pilot stats.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

How long did this one take you?

Very difficult to tell, as it was just a byproduct of a bigger and more complex process. The data had already been there, was just another idea to filter  process and present it in a different way. I was originally looking for a way to determine the "dominance factor" for individual players, which was originally something I did for fighter planes and tanks. And this "dominance factor" is in turn a try to find out if any notable changes had happened to the pilot vs pilot balance (vets vs noobs, butchers vs baby seals) over the last 10 years.
Basically I started with that stuff more than a year ago.

and are you planning on making a big one for the year?

If everything works out as planned , this one will be much different from my previous ones. Those have become kinda boring, there is not that much change beyond "...the La-7 went 4 places up in the usage chart. And now for the newest entry in the AH hit parade... ".
So as I hate routine work, I plan something different, not limited to this year but selected stuff from 2001 to 2011. "Change & Constancy".

Unfortunately real life currently doesn't care much for my "plans", so I just have to see how much I can really commit myself to this ;)

You have forgotten to include "captured" and "bailed" in your deaths :)
