there is a reason sanyo is so cheap...same as sceptre, insignia, dynex, haier, etc...
vizio has been getting better and better every year, but don't buy their bottom of the line units. dollar for dollar they are very good televisions, just not quite as good as samsung, lg, or the sony bravia series. getting a good quality picture out of a toshiba takes some tweaking, but seems like the last 2 generations have improved on a lot of things that made them not so good.
I have a 36'' Vizio 1080i and it looks great. I watch TV, Play xbox and occasionally hook my laptop up to it via HDMI to watch videos. The only downside is I can't stand the built in speakers on it. Luckily I already had a stereo sitting under it and just ran a cord down from the TV to the stereo. Makes playing the xbox AMAZING with the stereo blasting!
