Shaky, jumpy Trakir
« on: November 16, 2011, 08:40:14 AM »
Haven't played for awhile and am now I am having this issue when trackir is enabled. Seems to be confined to Aces High because it works fine and is smooth in IL2.

Any ideas?

Looks like perhaps your view keys/buttons are competing with the TIR inputs. I think there's a setting or two in the view menu that might have gotten changed?
My Current Rig:

Intel i7 5820k, Win7 64-bit

It could also be light interference.  Do you have a lamp on behind you or a light source in front of you reflecting off the clip?

Using the same TIR profile for AH and IL2?

If not, does it do that in the TIR software when you're looking at the virtual head position stuff?

Hey Jimson, try this profile in the post.  Might help out :aok  It is with the trackIR 5.1 software and proclip.

Believe it or not, you may need to center your head device with the camera on top of your monitor.   you can do this in the TrackIR software

Every thing is the same as before when it was also working fine with AH. No light source interference. Works fine in IL2, same profile, no bounce seen with the wire heads in the trak ir software.

Seems to be some sort of conflict only with AH.

Just for curiosity, what happens if you make a copy your settings folder so you can put it back after, and then reset your keybindings/controller stuff to defaults?  Is it still there?

That looks like your camera is losing 1 or more of the sensor inputs - which can be due to light interference, camera angle, hat angle, headset angle (if using track clip) etc.

Go into your camera view, ensure you can see all three points of input etc, and when you move your head, that none of them are going awol. I'm suspecting camera angle due to the fact its when your looking straight ahead.

hope this helps,

This seemed to do the trick, Iv'e been wanting to make some major changes to my profiles anyway so I may just start from scratch.

I've never set it up like this before, but let me take a shot in the dark:

Did you (possibly accidentally) have a controller axis like a slider or wheel or something assigned to moving your head in some fashion, or something to do with views?  What it looked to me like was the jumpiness you get with a dirty/malfunctioning pot.  If you want to try to save most of your profile, I'd suggest starting looking for that.
