it will be interesting to see how many of you that voted for 410 will get caught dead in it/.....I will me in a yak9u checking in on you all.  hope you get out of it what you think you will..
I won't fly it much, but I think it would be a fun thing to fight against.

Then again, I tend to use one of the boring, twin engined bomb trucks, so my view won't matter much.

Never? Awww, c'mon now... It's good to try out all the planes in the game every so frequently. It keeps things fresh, introduces you to fun tactics (i.e. dogfighting in a B-25C solid nose), and helps keep you familiar with what they can do so you know how to kill them better if/when you run across them.  :joystick:

It also helps you keep proficienct for FSOs, scenarios, etc, if/when you need to fly one when it counts!

It has two engines... I'll fly it.

Give me the challenge of dog fighting in this thing, I bet it will be fun.

Probably a lot of  :ahand going on, just remains to see by who...

The drawing's a drawing, and the museum piece could be/is probably just curators trying to make it look good.  Or making do with what they have IE those non standard barrels are all they had.

I don't think it's a big deal considering how much improvisation the plane had in the field, historically.  Many if not most of the bomb bay gun packs happened (meaning developed into factory "variants") because field crews bootstrapped em first.  Another E.G. the holes one 410 had punched thru its nose to add another pair of 7mm

So, the community selected another, easy to kill, bomb truck.....

How boring.

Any single-engine fighter would have been better than the redundant Me 410. We already have two versions of the 110, and the Mosquito (which will eat the 410 alive).

What makes you say that? To me, it looks about normal.

380 is at altitude and probably without any external stuff.  If you look at speed/altitude performance chart, it's got that ~380 peak TAS, but elsewhere it's a marginally improved 110.  IE it's not competitive with twins like P38, Mossie VI.  If you look thru the old Me 410 threads you'll see this and more stuff hashed out.

Yes, we need more Soviet planes (for special events, anyway), but . . .

the ones we need are the Yak-1, LaGG-3, and Pe-2.

The Yak-3 got into the war after the Yak-9, and it has very similar performance to the Yak-9.  So, it doesn't add much, in my opinion.  Late-war Soviet is already well covered by the Yak-9, La-5, and La-7.
