Feel good story of the year.... NOT!!!
« on: November 17, 2011, 06:48:15 AM »
Well I guess people will stoop to the lowest forms of life on the planet to get something for free. Here is a good example,

It just sickens me to see people would stoop that low to get help someone else could use.

i'm with you on that lawndart. there are a lot of people like that on the planet...what they actually deserve i can't say on here. it's because of people like them that people who legitimately need and deserve the assistance can't get it.

Meh...  people need to realize as well that all these game shows and feel good stories and Oprah car give aways aren't anything to be impressed with.  For the company doing it, it is a tax write-off and allows them to make even more money, meanwhile as the giftee you are stuck with the tax burden of this good gesture.

Yeah, some people are horrible...  but these shows aren't out there because they give money away to help people.

I have annoying allergies and asthma. I found out the hard way that most of my symptoms were from pets.

It all started when I was around 8 yrs old. My mom decided to bring an abandoned dog home from the shelter. That was about the time I began using Primatene Mist for asthma systems. I was taken to an allergy doctor and had to get an allergy shot every week for 2 years straight. I have some allergies during the spring and fall, but pets really make my day difficult.

I can’t believe how ignorant some parents really are (see the article link’s photo for a real bright parent).

Munchausen by proxy syndrome (MBPS)

Quote
In MBPS, an individual — usually a mother — deliberately makes another person (most often his or her own preschool child) sick or convinces others that the person is sick. The parent or caregiver misleads others into thinking that the child has medical problems by lying and reporting fictitious episodes. He or she may exaggerate, fabricate, or induce symptoms. As a result, doctors usually order tests, try different types of medications, and may even hospitalize the child or perform surgery to determine the cause.

I'd say the house and T.V. show were just a bonus.

Also, no one ever thinks about how the people who can't afford anything are going to be able to afford their new, improved house either. Isn't it like giving someone who can't afford a car to get around a Ferrari?
