When I was teaching Command and General Staff College, one of my students was from an Arizona Guard fling wing unit. He called them apathys and crashhawks.   :D

At the time they still had some of the old cobra's on hand for training. They used them mostly for harsh landing practice since they didn't want to slide the new choppers on the pavement.

He did get me into the Cobra simulator. Fun stuff. He seemed surprised that I got 4 hits out of 5 tows fired. He had no idea about my computer gaming background.  :)
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

My alarm clock is a CH-47 every morning. Camp San Luis Obispo. They have so much hardware just parked in massive storage lots.
