haveing problems with computer after soot intrusion

couple days ago oil furnace wasnt burnin correctly and filled house up with soot. after cleanin up and wanting to go play aces high i noticed soot in the comp and cleaned it out and got it running and went to play aces high. when i got to playin i noticed my fram rate staying in single digits and having warpin issues and ussauly its around 30 to 50 frame rate. and i have a motherboard grahpics controler and wonderin if soot would damage it

If you didn't clean it out enough it may be over heating. Not sure if soot is conductive, but I wouldn't think so. If you got some oil mixed in then ya that might do it.

Soot is an excellent conductor of electricity so an small soot traces on any of the PCB's will cause shorts and/or current leakage.
