I know people are quick to defend their buddies who teach young kids even if they are hurting children.  We've even seen it on these boards.

I don't think JoePa went far enough when he could have had the ear of the governor if he wanted.  While he didn't do the deed, he certainly had the opportunity to stop it...more than once over several years.

I fail to see where the witness to the 10 year old being assaulted "did the right thing" by calling the coaching staff. It seems to me that the right thing involves dialing 911. If the allegations are true, I hope the clean out the entire staff there and send a message about this crap.


If it had been my kid being assaulted the call would have gone to the morgue, not the coaching staff.

Penn State seems only concerned about it's reputation. It's reputation is it's people and they failed these kids miserably.

Was watching ESPN on lunch. Paterno is gone, and it's very possible his staff, and University President will go with him.

This is a shame. I really liked Joe Paterno and wish none of this would have happened to this man. As for Sandusky, if this whole story is true, they should cut off his you-know-what and put it on display for all sex offenders to see. Maybe it'll teach a lesson.
