For anyone in North TX/South OK
« on: November 07, 2011, 01:05:51 AM »
Anyone who lives in these regions needs to keep an eye on the weather tomorrow. Very impressive Fall setup coming together. The pontential exists for large, long tracked tornadoes along with large hail and strong winds. I'll be chasing (this is where the name chaser came from) most likely south of Wichita Falls, TX and see how the day plays out from there. As a storm chaser I'm hoping for a big tornado but I pray that no lives are taken by Mother Nature tomorrow. Please keep an eye out tomorrow and listen to ALL watches and warning issued for your area. This could be a life threatening situation. Check the link for more detailed information and graphics that show the areas of risk.

I had a pretty good day! I got a late start so I didn't catch any of the storms in OK. I watched one storm near Vernon, Tx and then drifted back west to catch a beauty over Electra, Tx. I have to be up at 5AM so I'll upload the pictures tomorrow. In the meantime everyone stay safe tonight!

Here's a few of the Pictures I got yesterday. Like I said I got a late start due to work and didn't get to chase the stuff in OK. I did manage to get some pretty good stuff near Electra, Tx though! I didn't get any video of the storm because it was to dark to see anything with it. Maybe next time I can catch a day time storm!

Nice CG strike near Electra.

Mothership near Electra. This had a breif funnel under it but it didn't touch down.

The same mothership from above but about 10 minutes later. Its directly over Electra in this picture.

And of course you can't forget the DOUBLE RAINBOW!!! This was near Vernon, Tx. :rofl

Thanks guys!  :rock

I didn't get much video because i didn't see anything really worth filming untill after dark and then its kinda pointless... But I did shoot this near Vernon and made a timelapse out of it. Definately not the best in the world but I'm pretty pleased with it considering it was my first solo chase.
