I'm a slave to my wife, catering to her whims and needs. For that I get food, clothing, a bed and an Aces High account.

Hey, at least it's one rung above the "my mom's basement" level on the evolutionary ladder!  :rock

well digital babysitter is at least part of it. what is the unbelievable part?
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

Absolutely not!  My grandfather was a truck driver and owned a trucking business until 1996.  I've always had a huge respect for truck drivers.  People don't realize just how important you guys are.

You guys might of once upon a long time ago heard of this oversized calculator called the Uni-Vac?  My grandfather was one of many truckers contracted to transport the first one to the west coast here in California, paid for moving his new family out here and starting his own small wherehouse business.

My gramps was the first person to have a computer in the state that would eventually give birth to "Silicon Valley" when he crossed the state line... or, at least, he had a major component to the first one in the back of his truck.  :aok

It's not yag... much more powerful. Ours is 6 kilowatt gas assist. We can cut and etch most any type of metals. We can cut wood and plastic but do not as it is very messy.

Nice thing about yag though is it's ability to etch in colors. :)

The yag can also do eye surgery, they used 1 on me to remove some bubbles in my lenses after I had my implants installed. I didnt see any colors during the yag but when they removed my lens on the left eye it was like being at a pink floyd concert without the music!.... :D

The yag colors metals by using different heats.

Ours can cut 1 inch metal accurately and can cut thicker with some cleanup.

I keep the hamsters running at a low power broadcast station in southern Virginia. The job has it's ups and downs but overall it's pretty stable in this economy.

Maybe I can talk Hitech into a little advertising.

I am a farmer.....or used to be....mainly.
Before 30 or so, I was a labourer with summer jobs along with school, including a farmer's hand and a dairy worker. Then it went into more farmer's hand work on some farms, and then into farming. Farming then also lead to some machine contractors work, like seed-work, ground work, muck-out-manually, whatever.
Later it went more various. Working as a farm hand in Germany, carrying on with the above, working on exhibitions in Germany, then back to home in Iceland, farming, stacking turf, contractor again, then to the fish industry, carrying on with farming, then side-slips like film industry (as an extra, but it was utterly Hollywood :D), going to the sea on trawlers as a crewman, then as a ships chef on ships, tourguiding by bus, and tourguiding by air, running a guesthouse with the wife, and being the local camping warden. And this morning I spent buying spare parts for fellow farmers.
The worst thing you can ask me is what I do :)....or did ;)
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
